1/2 c. fresh  or  1/4 c canned mushrooms chopped
1/2 c. chopped or minced onions
1/2 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. milk
1 T cornstarch
salt / pepper

In medium saucepan bring chicken broth, onions, and mushrooms to a boil. Mix milk and cornstarch until smooth.
Add to the boiling mixture stirring constantly  until thick ( just a few minutes) . Season to taste.

Use in place of Cream of Mushroom soup in recipes.
